We’re delighted to announce that three tradesmen from around the country are walking away with £1,000 each after winning on our World Cup Scorecaster and Scratchcard competitions.
As part of our World Cup initiatives, tradespeople had the opportunity to predict the scores of games via an online Scorecaster competition run on our Facebook page, with a £2,000 total prize pot up for grabs. At the same time, all tradespeople spending over £500 in-store were given a scratchcard with guaranteed prizes ranging from tubes of silicone to £1,000 cash.
Taking a lead from Paul the Octopus, who predicted the outcome of matches during the 2010 World Cup, Phillip Smith beat off nationwide competition to score the main £1,000 prize in the Scorecaster competition. Robert Hughes and Steve Roberts both scratched their way to victory, winning £1000 each.
Along with their cash prizes, all the winners will also be receiving an official Brazilian national team football shirt.
Congratulations guys, you deserve it!
