Standard staircases
Standard staircases are available in whitewood and clear timber. All are brush-sanded smooth and are untreated ready for finishing on site with a woodstain, or normal paint finish.
The basic staircase will be factory assembled with loose nosing. The remaining components such as newel posts, spindles, handrails, base rails and cappings etc are available separately for assembly and fitting on site.
Whitewood flights include medium density fibreboard treads and ply risers.
Standard staircase components are:
strings Ex 31mm x 229mm (114" x 9"), MDF treads Ex 22mm (7/8").
risers Ex 9mm (3/8") plywood or medium density fibreboard (at our option).
'Going' is measured from the face of the first riser to the face of the last riser. All staircases are 855mm wide (905mm in Scotland).
